Just an opinion. You can also list your favorite baseball book.( It can be the same answer as your favorite baseball movie.) I will give everybody a thumbs up as well. Please star!

Well this is not my favorite but I think Mr. 3000 really shows the spirit of the game.

Like you can be this great player and you are trying to get into the record books but it's more important to make sacrifices to get the win for the team.

I bought my boyfriend tickets to a baseball game he will love, for our "2 years".. the only thing im missing is how to give it to him. I dont want to hand him two pieces of paper and be boring. I want the gift to be creative.. i also made baseball cookies for him.. they are in little baggies tied with the school colors of the college he will be playing at next year.. i'm planning to give those in a basket of some sort..

If you have any fun ideas let me know. =]

Put them in his baseball glove without him knowing and then maybe ask him to play catch…..when he picks up his glove he will be super surprised!

Great gift ideas!!

Magnetic Softball and Baseball Tic Tac Toe

Everyone loves to play Tic Tac Toe. This is a 10X10 magnetic board which is one piece of metal so it stands to make playing easy. This is another way to show that softball is better than baseball as it includes 5 magnetic softballs, and 5 magnetic baseballs. The pieces are made of soft plastic with magnets attached. The center square says: Tic Tac Toe Sports.

All I keep reading on here is how bad the ratings are going to be for the World Series between the Phillies and Rays. Does everyone on here work for FOX or something? When did how high the ratings are become more important then the teams that are actually playing? Enlighten me all you baseball experts on Y!A.

Because, if TV Executives do not get the "Dream Matchup" in the World Series - A POX will be placed upon their House !!

It's Insane isn't It ??

I don't think a True Fan gives a Dang !!

My Team has not been in the Playoffs in 23 years, but I still Love to Watch, because I love Baseball !!

Even a 4-game Sweep scares the Heck outta them.

Trust Me !! Soon… the Negative Press about this Matchup, will disappear, as the TV Marketers dream-up some "hook" to make you think that this will be the Most Exciting Series, Ever !!

"….and You Will Especially Enjoy Our Commercials !!"

For the TV & maybe MLB, itself — Baseball is no longer a Sport, as much as it is "Entertainment" & "Big Business"

…and it is Sold as Such to the Public !!

They hope that someone who does not even care for Baseball, will be Brainwashed into thinking, "My God !! How can I Miss this Once in a Lifetime Event ??"

This applies to All Popular Sports IMO.

TV has to make everything LARGER THAN LIFE, instead of letting the Natural Beauty of the Sport, just "BE"

They want YOU to Affect the Sport, instead of allowing IT to Affect You.

I try to ignore it — In fact, when I watch a game, I turn-off the TV sound and listen to the Radio Guys — They are Much More Knowledgeable than the TV twerps IMO.

Am I making any sense or just ranting ?? Where's my medicine…?

I have no idea, if I answered your Question, but I think the Other Answerers - DID :)

I just need one baseball. What’s the cheapest they go for?
Don’t laugh at me, I don’t do the sports thing so I wouldn’t know.

Well, it depends on what the baseball is for. If it is for anyone who seriously plays ball you want to make sure you buy a genuine leather covered one…especially if they pitch, because the feel of the baseball is important in pitching and those fake leather, plastic covered ones are not good for throwing. Any sporting goods store would carry a good one from 3-5 dollars. If it is for something other than actual baseball or for a really young child than it wouldn't matter :o)

Whitey Ford Autographed Mizuno Name Model Baseball Bat

They called Ford , The Chairman of the Board for good reason. He was for more than a decade the star pitcher of a team that operated with corporate efficiency, and his intelligence and confidence were on display whenever he was on the mound. In contrast to pitchers who dominated hitters with overpowering physical abilities, the 5′10 180-lb lefthander controlled games with his mastery of the mental aspects of pitching and pinpoint control. Batters had to deal with his assortment of pitches: He mixed splendid changeups, marvelous curves, and a good fastball. He had one of the league’s best pickoff moves, and he was an excellent fielder. This item is authenticated by All About Autographs. All About Autographs is a leading source for authentic sports and celebrity memorabilia. I want to get a baseball autographed by my favorite players, preferably from the Red Sox. I need info on how to do this process. THANKS.

The best chance you would have would be to go to the game. Most teams sign balls before the game starts. If you sit behind their dugout you might be able to get them to sign after warm-ups. The only other way would be to send the baseball via the mail to your fav. player c/o their team (I.E. Manny Ramirez c/o boston red sox). If you send it w/ a self-addressed stamped (box?) they would probably sign it and send it back.

i've never washed a baseball cap before and i want to wash my friends'. i don't want to ruin it because it's not mine. i heard of those hat shaper things you can buy before you put it in the dishwasher, but the shape won't work for his hat because he bends the front part into a curve like a semicircle. would wrapping the curve around a mug work or will the dishwasher ruin the frame no matter what?

i don't think that i would wash it in the dishwasher, i have seen the hat racks that you put the hat in and then wash it in the washing machine, it keeps the shape of the hat, plus you need to watch, if its a wool hat you shouldn't wash those at all.
