Whale watching themed 3D dimensional stickers by Jolee’s Grande. Perfect for your Alaska or Antarctica cruise pages.
I was wondering if there is a way to book with the cruise lines directly as opposed to going through an agent, as it seems the agents all have really big surcharges.
I had good luck with SpinCityTravel.com. Depending on when you go, you can save quite a bit

As in Antarctica you're only allowed 100 people to 'land' at a time - some cruises do special trips of less than 100 people
There's a holiday resort at a place called Patriot Hills in the Antarctic Peninsula. You can fly down there from Puntas Arenas. Check with the Argentinean and Chilean navies; I've heard that they take paying passengers on their supply trips to their stations in the Antarctic Peninsula for a very modest fare. This would be the cheapest way to visit Antarctica, apart from a work or study trip. Most cruises allow shore trips. I live near the port of Bluff in NZ, and cruises leave from there. Check with Laker House of Travel, Invercargill. Good luck. I once spent 3 1/2 months there, including a trip to the South Pole. It's an awesome experience.

What do you think about a 10 yr ban on cruise ships in the pristine waters of Antarctica, since they simply go down there and create international nightmares one after another?
I say keep the idiots in warm waters where all they can hit is each other.
Its my business and the entire worlds concern when a boat full of diesel fuel, sewage and garbage sinks in the Antarctic ocean, and its happening WAY too regularly because noone appears to know how to avoid icebergs.
I think a lifetime ban would be better. Cruises are all about overindulgence, it seems. It's ridiculous that people that want to see natural wonders and the beauty of the environment do so at it's expense. They can rent the DVD, can' they?
I agree that you can't tell people what to do with their money - to an extent. When they're exploiting or harming shared resources, we have every right to question their habits.

Included are descriptions of the 26 most popular visitor sites on the Antarctic Peninsula, and the natural history of over 30 species of birds and mammals. Measuring 5 x 7 inches, this beautiful little book fits neatly into a parka pocket and is fully illustrated with over 200 colour photographs, and 7 maps.
Hi, I take a World Geography class and I’m doing a project on places to visit in the world. one of the locations I have been assigned to visit is Antarctica. I searched for cruises and even flights to Antarctica but i have not found anything, because it has to be an actual happening cruise. I need the cruise to leave Bangkok, Thailand on the 16th, or up to the 20th of this coming January. If anyone could give me a date and the website to where they had found the cruise, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you
You will be struggling to find an antarctic cruise leaving from Bangkok.
The vast majority of cruises leave from Ushuaia Argentina. You may find boats leaving from Tasmania,Australia or New Zealand but they tend to be expedition vessels.
Peregrine Adventures do a number of antarctic cruises so checkout their website.
If you’re looking for official sites try www.aad.gov.au/ which is the Australian Antarctic Division website and also google McMurdo Station which is the main US Station
