I'm looking to buy a phone, preferably a slider phone. I would like it to have an mp3 player ( i dont mind if there is no memory card). I need it on pay as you go, any network. Other features i would like are, bluetooth, camera (1-2 megapixels) and a fm radio which is optional. The 2 main phones i were thinking of at the moment are the LG Chocolate and the new Sony Ericsson W850i.
thanks all for helping i don't really like nokias as i hav a mac and can not use a usb with my computer and phone. the only way i can send songs is via bluetooth which i can not do with nokias as it ends up in my inbox.
more info guys! thanks once again just found out how to change bluetooth problem on nokia! so i can get a nokia now! just to let you know.

If mp3 player is your priority and you are one of those that we call audiophiles (want really good quality music ouput), go for the w850i. Its the best walkman phone out there (sports a walkman 2.0, others are older versions). The LG chocolate is no good except for its good looks. Not to mention it has no slot for memory expansion, even though it only has a total of 128MB shared memory. Take a look at the Samsung D900 (slimmest slider on the market) and E900 (try it first, it has heat-sensitive soft keys that might be a hindrance for some). Lastly, if you're in no hurry, and price isn't a concern, I'd say wait for Q1 2007, when the Nokia N95 will be up for mass sales. Its the grand-daddy of all sliders : 2-way slider, 5megapix camera, built-in GPS and 3.5G…..The list is endless, too bad it only comes out in roughly 5 months.

Linksys Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports RT41P2-AT
Think of the Linksys Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports as a kind of “splitter” for your Internet connection. Just connect your DSL or Cable Modem to the Router, and all the computers in your home or office can share the Internet - all at the same time. The built-in 4-port switch lets you attach four local PCs directly, or daisy-chain out to more hubs and switches as your network grows.

Once your computers are connected to the Internet through the Router, they can communicate with each other too, sharing resources and files. All your computers can print on a shared printer connected anywhere in the home. And you can share all kinds of files between computers - music, digital pictures, and other documents.

The two standard telephone jacks on the Router enable high-quality feature-rich telephone service through your high-speed connection even while you’re surfing the Internet. Each phone jack operates independently - like having two phone lines. And keep one phone number for life, regardless of where you move.

It’s all easier than you think - the included Setup Wizard takes you through configuring the Router, step by step. The Router can act as a DHCP server for your network, so your PCs are configured automatically. Universal Plug-and-Play (UPnP) lets specialized Internet applications configure the Router so you don’t have to. Built-in NAT technology helps keep intruders out of your computers.

With the Linksys Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports at the heart of your home network, you don’t need to be a networking genius to share high-speed Internet, printers and files, and turn your Internet connection into a high-quality, high-value AT&T voice service.

I am considering the Pantech Breeze Cell phone because of the larger screen . I have a difficult time reading without glasses and this phone seems perfect for me. Any feedback particularly on ease of use text messaging and reception when in small towns around Texas. Thanks so much!

i work for pantech, and out of all the phones, my boss loves this phone. there are two different way to operate the phone, in breeze mode n advanced mode. so if you dont want to deal with all the bells n whistles, u can go into breeze mode. he also lives out in a little town outside the city, and reception is excellent. the key’s are huge, along with the lettering. the screen is of good size, and there are also 3 quick call keys to preset for your loved ones. its the perfect phone for anyone that wants a simple, basic phone, with all the capabilities of any other phone out there.

I want to get telephone service for my sister because she has school age children and a child away at college. She is a homemaker and her husband is a carpenter Their mortgage is $850.00 a month not including lights, gas, water, sewer, plus other necessities. They already had one of those other phone companies that let them down. Now they have to buy minutes on an old-fashioned cellular phone. Please tell me what I can do to get them a phone extended off my line and phone service right away?

The type of service you can get to assist her will really depend upon your/her location. There are some more localized carriers (AT and T is NOT one of them, to my knowledge) in some cities which will offer a package deal, but you would have to research them individually. I know of no such deal which can be offered through AT and T, however.
