i wanted to know if i can use other carriers unlocked phones such as sprint, verizon, att, tmoble, etc……….
will any of these work with us cellular??
Most likely you'll have to get it unlocked. Some carriers can do it free with little to no questions asked, some conditional (e.g. you must have service for X days), some can't; depends on how US Cellular does things… Call them and find out.
If not, there are plenty of websites that'll do unlocking for about $10-30 USD.

I am living in Chicago, moving to Omaha in a couple of months. Id like to get a phone line. Any ideas?
I think that Verizon is a great choice! They bought out Alltel, which a LOT of people have as well.
Verizon is the biggest phone company in Omaha also, and they have the best customer service. My only suggestion.. if you have ANY problems whatsoever.. do NOT go to the Dodge street location.. travel to Bellevue it is way worth it & they will help you with anything!

We have ATT wireless with all our family and can talk free to each other in any state, but my brother know wants to change to US Cellular, can we still talk free if we all have US Cellular???
First off ATT and Verizon aren't the same… So don't put ATT/Verizon because they are nothing alike. Verizon is way better. And secondly go here and check their plans, that would be the best thing to do. http://www.uscc.com/uscellular/SilverStream/Pages/b_plan.html?mkt=608830&zip=60637&tm=1&p=5

Well, im about to start my new job this coming up monday at radio-shack, and i was just curious, because im in need of a new cell phone, i wasnt sure if i should wait, till i start working, or just get one online, Att.com has the refurbished 8525 for only $100! when you get a minutes plan, and a text or data plan, which is perfect for me, however the local store that i will be working at doesnt even carry PDA/ Smartphones, however if i buy the phone now, will i be able to use my radio shack discount on my cellular plan? or will i be stuck paying retail for the monthly plan, Please some one help me.
I, myself, work for Radio Shack. The store I work for, though, only sells Sprint and Cellular One (or Dobson), plus Virgin Mobile and the pay as you go phones.
With both providers, employees must pay retail price for the phone, but get a discount on our monthly bills. Which to me is a pretty good deal, because the saved money month after month adds up and surpasses the cost of buying a new phone.
Basically we can get a plan with unlimited everything, and only pay like, 30 dollars a month.
But, I don't know how At&t does things. You'll just have to check it out.
