How can I connect to Xbox Live and computers at the same time?
There needs to be internet for computer use as well.
I have two internet modem boxes and have to unplug and replug internet cords to use Live. I also have a wireless router (one computer doesn’t have wireless and it is plugged directly into the router).
Is there a cheap way to have use of the computers and the Xbox at the same time while having decent internet strength?
I use a router for mine i have 4 Ethernet slots.
That would be the only thing i could suggest.
Is to buy a modem that has multiple Ethernet slots.
Try Ebay or if you dont want to spend a lot of money try a pawn shop.
You could get one for about 20 bucks.

How can I limit the Bandwidth computers on my network receive?
I am on a network with a total of three computers. The others are constantly torrenting and taking so much bandwidth, I receive almost nothing. Is there a way to limit the amount of bandwidth they can consume from my computer? One is on a wireless connection and the other is on a 125 foot cable.
You have two options.
1) remove the router and make all the internet connections go through a server so you can control bandwidth.
or
2) purchase a newer router that supports QoS (Quality of Service), which will make sure that all the connections will have a equal share of the bandwidth.

How can I fix the fact that my pictures look different on different computers?
My myspace pictures look different on different computers. For example, on my computer my pictures look really good, (Bright, vivid colors, etc). But on my friends computer all of my pictures look really dark and splotchy. I want to know how I can edit pictures so that they will look the same on all computers. 10 points if you can help.
Well, for one thing - you have no control over the quality, brightness or color balance of anyone else's computer. So you'll never get perfect results.
So you must know how to OPTIMIZE your image using the only adjustments that are universal and that - if done correctly - are not dependent on how things look on your monitor … or someone else's.
To put it as simply as possible, you have to adjust an image correctly using LEVELS.
If - as most people do - you're adjusting things like brightness and contrast and color balance BEFORE or instead of adjusting Levels … well, you're doing it wrong, and you will NEVER get consistent results.
To learn how to adjust Levels, go to my tutorial here:
http://www.jimsdgitaldiary.com/photoshop.html
Scroll down to section 3. Density (Lighting) and learn that. And check the "More About Levels" page also to get a better understanding of it.
Good Luck.

What is a good wired internet service for three computers in the Bronx?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any good wired internet service suggestions for someone living in the Bronx, NY. I have three computers, but I am looking to atleast give one more of my computers a wired connection. I currently have the linksy to connect the two other computers for a wireless connection with my main computer, but it stinks, often dropping the signal, resulting in the other two running slowly. Any ideas?
Try Broadband Reports. Both Optimum Online and Verzion DSL are available there and seem to have about the same reviews. However, Optimum Online will probably be faster, and Verizon has notoriously bad customer support.

Is it true that ordinary computers dont work in space?
I heard once, but on a rather old show that regular computers dont work in space because they are effected by cosmic rays and magnetism. So if thats the case what do they do to make them work? Is that why you dont see astronauts using laptops and blackberries?
AHHA!!!! maybe there is a shred of truth in your question
http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2005/18nov_eaftc.htm
Computers DO work in space, they might have ERRORS once in a while, but over all they DO work. What do you think is running all the shuttle's systems?
An abacus?
gee. I wonder what all these buttons are connected to?

To an astronaut, a black berry is a child's toy capable of receiving email from cell phone towers that aren't even in range.
BUT this guy has an ipod on the shuttle. He looks soooo happy that he can listen to Hanna Montana !!!!

its the white ipod right above the black thing on the wall above his right hand
after researching, I don't know if i want to slap you or hug you.
